RI Talent is partnering with a dynamic Swiss SME to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a key leadership role offering full ownership of the finance function within a lean, entrepreneurial structure.
The successful candidate will combine hands-on execution with strategic financial leadership, supporting both operational excellence and long-term business growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the CFO will take responsibility for the full financial stewardship of the business and its subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all aspects of accounting, controlling, budgeting, and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with Swiss GAAP and local tax regulations
- Managing cash flow, liquidity planning, and financial risk
- Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, fiduciaries, and banking partners
- Driving financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Overseeing and improving ERP and financial systems
- Supporting strategic decision-making at holding level
- Delivering clear and actionable insights to the leadership team and board
- Maintaining accurate, timely financial reporting and management information
This role requires a hands-on mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a small, high-impact team.
The Candidate
We are seeking a commercially minded finance professional with a strong technical foundation and a pragmatic approach.
Required:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance/accounting within Switzerland
- Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP and Swiss tax regulations
- Fluency in German and English
- Valid right to live and work in Switzerland
- Ability to balance operational detail with strategic oversight
Preferred:
- Experience within an SME or entrepreneurial environment
- Professional qualifications (e.g. Swiss Federal Diploma, ACCA, CPA, dipl. Steuerexperte)
