On behalf of Swiss Private Banks based in Cyprus or Athens
About the Role
Acting on behalf of a number of established Swiss private banks operating out of Cyprus and Athens, we are seeking Senior Private Bankers with a strong track record in business development and client relationship management. Several confidential mandates are currently open, based either in Cyprus or Athens, Greece. This is a client-facing, business development-oriented role for experienced professionals who can bring an existing network of HNW/UHNW relationships and help grow their new institution’s client base.
These roles suit senior bankers who enjoy building relationships and developing new business. Specific institution details will be shared on a confidential basis with shortlisted candidates.
Key Responsibilities across our mandating banks, the role will typically involve:
- Developing new client relationships and helping to grow the bank’s HNW/UHNW client base
- Contributing to business development plans, with targets for net new money (NNM) and revenue growth over time
- Acting as lead relationship manager for both new and existing clients, delivering investment, credit, and wealth structuring solutions available on the respective bank’s platform
- Building opportunities through personal network, intermediaries, family offices, and referral sources
- Coordinating with investment advisory, credit, and trust/fiduciary specialists to structure bespoke, cross-border solutions
- Ensuring full compliance with regulatory, AML, and KYC requirements (CySEC/Central Bank of Cyprus, or the Bank of Greece and HCMC in Greece, as applicable) throughout client onboarding and relationship management
- Representing the institution at client, industry, and networking events to build visibility and pipeline
- Reporting regularly on client activity, pipeline, and progress against agreed targets

Candidate Profile
- Must currently be working as a Private Banker or Senior Relationship Manager, with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience and a solid track record in client relationship management and business development
- Well known within the Greek and Cypriot HNW/UHNW community, with personal relationships at family or entrepreneur level
- An existing network of HNW/UHNW relationships that could be developed within a new institution is highly valued
- A track record of meeting or exceeding client growth and revenue targets through relationship-building and business development
- Strong technical knowledge across investments, credit solutions, and cross-border wealth structuring
- Relevant regulatory/compliance certifications (e.g., CFA, CWMA, or local equivalents) an advantage
- Fluency in Greek is mandatory; fluency in English is also required. Russian is a significant advantage given the client base typically served from these hubs. Additional languages relevant to an international client base (Arabic, Turkish, French) are also valued
- Strong personal network and good standing within the private banking community
- High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
- Eligible to work in Cyprus or Greece (or able to secure the relevant work authorization)
