We are currently supporting the search for a Manager or Senior Manager – Tax & Audit to join their Tampa team.

Role Overview This is a leadership-level position responsible for overseeing combined tax and audit engagements, managing client relationships, and supervising teams across multiple concurrent projects.

The ideal candidate is a CPA-qualified public accounting professional with strong experience across both tax and audit, capable of operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring engagement quality, developing staff, and supporting continued firm growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax and audit engagements from planning through completion
• Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and audit workpapers
• Serve as primary client contact and manage ongoing relationships
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior associates
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and applicable tax regulations
• Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities for clients
• Support business development and client growth initiatives
• Coordinate cross-functional work across tax, audit, and advisory teams
• Maintain high-quality standards across all deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Active CPA license required
• 6–10+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong background in both tax and audit (blended experience preferred)
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience required
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax law, GAAP, and GAAS
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work on-site in Tampa, FL

�� Compensation Guide

• Manager Level: $105,000 – $135,000 base
• Senior Manager Level: $130,000 – $155,000+ base
• Total Compensation (with bonus): typically $120,000 – $175,000+, depending on experience, leadership scope, and client responsibility
